Iftar means berbuka puasa. After the call to the evening prayer (Maghrib prayer), Muslims usually gather to break their fast together. And it is a tradition to break the fast by eating 3 dates, as per how Muhammad broke his fast. Many Muslims believe that the act of feeding others iftar is a very rewarding form of charity, which was practised by Muhammad.
Besides, being a Malaysian living in a multicultural society, it is a kind & friendly gesture for others to gift our Muslim friends, colleauges and neighbours - a little something to wish them berbuka puasa during Ramadan. We feel that it is a blessing for us to have a diversified & peaceful community, and we want to do our best to keep the unity strong. With this in mind, TheTwoPineapples have crafted the following Iftar box for gifting purposes during this Ramadan.

'Do You Know?' Fun Facts
Bulan Ramadan is a very meaningful month for our Muslim community. Apart from fasting, one should practice self-restraint from indulgence in everyday pleasures, self-discipline, to empathise with the poor & hungry, speaking truth, restraining from anger and doing good deeds. Hence, Ramadan fasting is a very good therapeutic process that has many advantages, which includes both spiritual and health benefits. If done properly, the physiological effects can include lowering blood sugar, cholesterol and systolic blood pressure (Ahmad S., Goel K., Maroof K.A., Goel P., Arif M., Amir M., and Abid M., 2012). In another scientific review article, it was shown that Ramadan fasting helps to reduce the risk of cardio-vascular diseases and diabetics while improves the effectiveness of our immune systems (Ahmad I.M., Abdifatah M.A., and Mohamed M.A., 2020).
